Kellie's Homestead Restaurant: Felony Indictments
In March of 2026, the owner of Kellie's Homestead was indicted on three counts of "Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property ($10,000 or more)." This is a Class C felony, which has a sentencing guideline of a five to ten year prison sentence, and fines up to $10,000 for each count.
The charges all relate to her business collecting sales tax, but keeping the money rather than passing it on to the state.
As of the writing of this post on May 21, 2026, she has pled not guilty and is scheduled for trial in Franklin County, Kentucky this summer.
