Kellie's Homestead Restaurant: Felony Indictments
In March of 2026, the owner of Kellie's Homestead was indicted on three counts of "Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property ($10,000 or more)." This is a Class C felony, which has a sentencing guideline of a five to ten year prison sentence, and fines up to $10,000 for each count. Read announcement of the grand jury indictment.
The charges all relate to her business collecting sales tax, but keeping the money rather than passing it on to the state.
At her arraignment in April, she entered a plea of not guilty and was tentatively scheduled for a jury trial in Franklin County, Kentucky starting July 13. That trial was delayed, and is not currently on the docket.
